Holy Cross High School

History

Holy Cross was founded on the principles of education as outlined by Basil Moreau, Founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross. An education in the Holy Cross tradition forms the hearts of young people and develops a positive response towards religion. Holy Cross High School was established to assist in the total Christian education of young men and women so that they might serve the needs of the Church and the World.
Holy Cross High School was founded in 1968 as an "all boys" school. It became co-educational in 1975, when it joined with the former Waterbury Catholic High School for Girls.
