Winter Athletic Teams Advanced to Finals & Semi Finals

It's been a great season for Holy Cross student-athletes. The Girls' Varsity Basketball Team won the Semi-Finals in the State Tournament against Capital Prep. They are playing against Daniel Hand High School in the Finals at Mohegan Sun this Sunday at 3:00pm. Come support these great athletes!

Many other athletes achieved great successes this season. The Boys' Varsity Basketball Team won the Quarter Finals against Prince Tech. Also, several members of the Boys' Swimming Team advanced to the Class S State Finals at Wesleyan University and finished in second place. Results can be viewed here. They will compete on Saturday, March 18th at Yale University in the State Open at 2:30pm.

Congratulations to all of our athletes. We are very proud of all of you!

Celebrating Turkey Day, a Holy Cross Tradition

Happy Turkey Day! No, this isn't another Thanksgiving. This is an annual tradition where our students, faculty and staff dress up in teams to show their school spirit and participate in Penny Wars to raise funds. All monies raised supported our students who participated in the Winsted Penguin Plunge which supports the Special Olympics. Student costumes ranged from "High School Musical" to "That 70s Show" to "the Seven Dwarves." Everyone had a great time showing their Crusader pride.
