Crusaders Honor One of Their Own at the Chris Corbett '93 5K

The Greater Waterbury community gathered together on Sunday, April 2, 2017 to honor Deputy Chief Christopher D. Corbett '93 of the Waterbury Police Department (WPD) at the 2nd Annual Chris Corbett 5K. The run was hosted at Holy Cross High School, Chris's alma mater. Several local private schools, friends and community members turned out to remember a truly wonderful man. (Read More)

 

Apply for the Christopher D. Corbett Memorial Scholarship Fund Today!


The Christopher D. Corbett Memorial Scholarship Fund application is available to incoming 9th graders as well as our current 9th-11th graders. Please fill out the application and return to Guidance before May 18th. Please note there is a letter of recommendation required. This letter must be written by a member of your school faculty or your Parish Priest/Deacon.

Girls' Softball: On Their Way to a Class S Three-Peat?

 

The Girls' Softball team is off to an incredible start of the 2017 spring season. The Crusaders are going for a three-peat in Class S after winning back-to-back state titles.

Meet the Parents, Meet the Coaches!

 

We have two very special events coming up for the incoming families of the Class of 2021. We hope these will help you to prepare for your official arrival as a Crusader in August.

 

MEET THE PARENTS

Parents of the Class of 2021, we invite you to join us for Meet the Parents, sponsored by the Holy Cross Fathers' and Mothers' Clubs on Tuesday, May 9th at 7:00pm. At this event, which will be held at Holy Cross, you will meet and mingle with our current parents, administrators and representatives from our Mothers' and Fathers' Clubs. Presentations on the Dress Code, the Parents' Clubs, Textbook Purchases and Legacy Parents will be given. You will also have the opportunity to meet other parents to set up car pools for the fall.

 

MEET THE COACHES

Is your child a student-athlete? Does your child want to become a student-athlete? Join us on Thursday, April 27th at 6:30pm at Holy Cross for Meet the Coaches. On this night, you and your student will have the chance to meet coaches from our Athletic Department.

Connecting with a 200-Year Old Era

 

English teacher, Kathryn Dadio wanted to challenge her English 10 Honors class with Enrichment Projects while reading through Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The story's time period, the Regency Era, lent itself to some group work and exploration.


Ms. Dadio wanted to stretch her students' way of thinking. "I was thinking, what can I do?" she said. "Teenagers, 200 years later, are disconnected from Jane Austen's time period." (Read More)
