Student Life
A Holy Cross education is an education of the mind and the heart. The National, State, and local award winning Student Activities program at Holy Cross High School, with its Student Government and full complement of clubs, activities, leadership education, and service opportunities, is an integral component of this education in the Holy Cross tradition. A vital part of the Holy Cross community, Student Government provides opportunities for all students to be involved in co-curricular life at Holy Cross and to have a positive impact on student life. Students serve as officers of the student elected Student Council and as officers and members of a multitude of clubs, committees, boards, and councils. The academic calendar at Holy Cross is marked by numerous activities and social events that involve the entire school community. Holy Cross High School’s commitment to student leadership is evidenced by the many workshops and conferences Holy Cross students and faculty attend and facilitate each year and by the school’s affiliation with local, state, and national student leadership organizations. Service opportunities abound at Holy Cross. Whether by collecting clothes and food for the homeless and marginalized, providing enrichment activities for nursing home residents, tutoring elementary school students, responding to the needs of those whose lives have been ravaged by natural disasters, or through the many other school-wide service projects students learn of the great benefits to be found in serving others. |
