The Brother James Kane, C.S.C. Library Media Center
The Brother James Kane, C.S.C. Library Media Center (LMC) is designed to ensure access to informational materials in a variety of formats and media. It provides access to information and ideas that are vital to functioning successfully in today's technology-based society. The LMC also generates a role in the school community by supporting the curriculum and reading initiatives set forth by the teachers and administrators. It provides an inviting, safe and stimulating environment for meeting the informational needs of the student with the goal of preparing the student to become a lifelong learner.
The Brother James Kane, C.S.C. Library Media Center is open Monday-Friday from 7:15am-3:00pm.
Computers / Copier
- The LMC is equipped with internet - ready computers. There are computer stations, laptops, and Chrome Books for student and classroom use.
- The LMC is outfitted with Wi-Fi so that students may bring in their laptops from home.
- Multi-media LCD Projectors are available for student use in class presentations.
The Library Media Center holds numerous items which may be checked out on loan to students. Fiction and non- fiction books may be borrowed for a three week period. All items can be renewed. Reference books may be borrowed at the discretion of the librarian. There is a 10 cent /day fine for overdue books.
IConn.org : Iconn.org is sponsored by the CT State Library and provides all students, faculty and residents with online access to essential library and information resources.
