Holy Cross High School Graduation 2017


Holy Cross High School's celebrated its' 46th Commencement Exercises on Sunday, June 4, 2017. Diplomas and special awards were distributed to the Class of 2017. Heartfelt speeches and parting words were shared by Board members, administrators, students and special guests. 


"Take a moment to visualize all that you have achieved and appreciate how far you have come," said Board President, Jeffrey Fryer '87. "In the end, it's not just about your class rank. It's not about the grades you earned. It's about everything you've experienced in your four years here as a Crusader." (Read More)



Six Holy Cross Students Names Superintendent's Summa Scholars


The Office of Catholic Schools honored the 2017 Superintendent's Summa Scholars from the network of Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford. Six Holy Cross High School students were honored at an Awards Ceremony including: Antonio D'Amelio, Katherine Flaherty, Patrick McMahon, Tess Oatley, Andrea Pettinico and Gillian Russo. Students shared this award with a particular teacher of their choice at the ceremony. (Read More)

Baseball & Softball Successes


It has been a great spring for two of our Holy Cross spring teams!


Boys' Varsity Baseball is currently 25-1 and plays Housatonic on Tuesday, June 6th in the CIAC Semi Fianls at 3:30 at Muzzy Field in Bristol. Last week, the Crusaders captured the NVL Championship with a 3-1 victory over Seymour. Girls' Varsity Softball is also having a great season. They are the two-time defending Class S State Champions. They are currently 24-2 and play Wamogo on Monday in in the CIAC semi-finals. Game time will be at 4pm at West Haven High School.


Two players were recently recognized for their athletic accomplishments. UConn-bound Matt Bonvicini '17 (first baseman) and Sarah Lawton '17 (pitcher) were recently named "Outstanding Senior" in the NVL.

First Honor Roll Status Students Recognized & Class Officers Announced



Students who achieved first honor roll status from the spring of 2016 to winter of 2017 were honored in a morning ceremony led by Andrea Rodriguez, Vice President for Academics and Catherine Xeller, Director of Guidance. The school community gathered together to celebrate this impressive academic achievement. Students received certificates for their efforts. (Read More)


Marcos Scarpa '17 Signs National Letter of Intent to University of Connecticut


Congratulations to Marcos Scarpa '17 from Naugatuck who signed a National Letter of Intent to be a Division I Diver for the University of Connecticut.

"Marcos is a school record holder," said Varsity Boys' Diving Coach, Michele Griffith. "He has six dives with a score of 300.19 and 11 dives with a score of 429.60 points." (Read More)
