Holy Cross High School President Margaret Leger to Retire After 38 Years of Service  


The Brothers of Holy Cross and the Holy Cross High School Board of Directors announce that Holy Cross High School President Margaret Leger will retire at the end of the school year.


Prior to being named the school's President in 2017, Mrs. Leger filled a number of roles at Holy Cross since her arrival 38 years ago. In the fall of 1980, she was hired as a physical education teacher. She also coached cross country and track. In 1982, she became the Assistant to the Director of Students, in addition to her teaching obligations. She spent 22 years as the Assistant Principal/Director of Students before assuming the role of Assistant Principal for Academic Life. In 2009, she became the Principal of Holy Cross. (Read More)


Sophomores Become Trained in CPR


Holy Cross High School sophomores have spent the past few weeks learning CPR in their Health classes. These classes are also open to juniors and seniors who want to renew their certification.

CPR certification at Holy Cross began almost fourteen years ago. "Doctors at Saint Mary's Hospital received a grant from the American Heart Association to teach CPR in Waterbury schools," said Caroline Flaminio '79, Department Chair for Health and Physical Education. (Read More)

Alumni, parents, students, teachers (former and present) gathered together on Thursday, November 30th to induct nine fellow Crusaders into the Crusader Hall of Honor. Christmas Concert Puts School Community into the Holiday Spirit


The Holy Cross High School Music Department put the Crusader community into the holiday spirit with A Traditional Christmas Sing-A-Long, this year's Christmas Concert. Student performers led the audience through a sing-a-long of many Christmas favorites including Jingle Bells, O Come All Ye Faithful, Silent Night and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. (Read More)
