Arts on Oronoke

Greetings from the Holy Cross Art Department, Rosanne Shea and Dawn Lombardi

It’s been a while! Because of ...well the world and Covid, it’s been a couple of years since we have held our once annual Student/Alumni/Faculty Holy Cross Family spring arts exhibit: Arts on Oronoke. Please take a few minutes and consider if you will answer this call to revive our cherished tradition of calling our artists back home to share.

This is my 26th year at Holy Cross and so many of Mr. Marseglia and my former students have gone out into the world to make a splash in the big world of visual art. I am so proud of you all. Mr M. retired in June of 2019 and you know Mr. M, he wouldn’t gush your praises but in his quiet way he would acknowledge all of your triumphs. He is alive and well and enjoying retirement. I hope, pray and wish he will answer this call to come home and exhibit his work too. Maybe a little outside pressure from you folks??? Just sayin’.

So here are the details:
Receiving work

  • March 28th – April 8th
  • April 19th – April 22nd

Please contact the Art Department at 203.757.9248

ARTS ON ORONOKE – Reception and opening of exhibition to the public

Saturday April 30th – Alix Family Gallery, 587 Oronoke Road, Waterbury, CT
Exact times to be confirmed but plan for approximately 4PM to 7PM

Please copy and fill in the form that follows and also just drop me a line and let me know if your life allows you to send, deliver or email me some of your as yet unseen (by us) work. I will do everything I can to exhibit 2-3 pieces, depending on the sizes, of the work of all who are willing to participate. It is also always a thrill to see you in person at our reception but I realize that is often un-workable in your busy lives. I want to fill the atrium with your work and your presence. Let’s celebrate!!!
