Halloween Happening Returns for its 20th Year

Holy Cross High School students and faculty welcomed young children and their families for the local neighborhoods for the 20th Annual Halloween Happening. This annual event offers a fun, safe place to go trick or treating. Students decorated rooms, donated and distributed candy and provided guests with a memorable experience.

"I am so proud of our students and what they accomplished," said Megan Dwyer '05, Director of Student Life. "It takes a village to put this event together. Last year, due to COVID-19, we held this event outdoors. This year, under safe precautions, we brought it back into our classrooms and hallways where it belongs. Everyone did their part to make this a fun, safe experience for all involved."

Halloween Happening started in 2002 as a modest event with lots of heart and spirit. Over the years, it has developed into a beloved Holy Cross tradition.

"This event is a Holy Cross favorite," said Dr. Thomas C. Pellegrino, President. "Our students love turning their school into a spooky and silly place for kids, young and old to enjoy some Halloween fun. This is a great event for the entire Waterbury community."
