Our school community made this past October one of the best Pink Out months yet. Under the leadership of the Crusade for a Cure group, students and faculty raised $2000 for Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation. Representatives from the hospital were on hand to receive the check from the Crusade for a Cure members.
Students launched many efforts to raise the money for this important initiative:
- The Football, Girls' Soccer and Girls' Volleyball teams hosted bake sales prior to their games
- Faculty and students purchased newly designed Crusade for a Cure t-shirts
- Members of the school community donated money and participated in a Dress Down Day in honor or Pink Out Month
"Many of our community members have an affiliation with Saint Mary's Hospital," said Catherine Xeller, Director of Guidance. "We are honored that we can contribute to this important cause. Each year, our students enthusiastically raise money to support cancer research and awareness."
