Our School

Megan Dreher ’16 joined the Advancement Office this past summer as the Associate Director for Alumni Engagement & Special Events. She brings a wealth of experience in relationship building, communications and leadership.

After graduating from Holy Cross High School, Meg attended Manhattan College (B.A., Summa Cum Laude, Communication & Philosophy) in the Bronx. Her college experience reminded her of her time in high school. At Manhattan, she was the captain of the dance team, the VP for Communications on the Governing Board and a student representative on MC’s Board of Trustees. She was the recipient of the Carty Valedictory Medal and the Harry Hazelton ’51 Medal.  She was also very active in the school’s Center for Ethics.  

“I really immersed myself in that environment like I did in high school,” said Meg. “I made as much as much out of my four years as possible.”

After her graduation in the spring of 2020, she moved back to Connecticut to look for jobs and escape the COVID-19 pandemic which was running rampant, particularly in New York City. Eventually, she returned to Manhattan and worked for Vicus Partners, a real estate firm as their Director of Marketing. In that role, she oversaw all marketing efforts including search engine optimization, email marketing and social media and website operations.

“I loved being back in New York City. It is very fast paced. The stakes are high, and there is a lot of pressure. I took my responsibilities very seriously.”

Meg was happily working in New York when Holy Cross High School connected with her. “Tom (Pellegrino) told me about this position. I really wanted to work in a place that meant something to me and offered something great to the world. I had such a great experience during high school. I am a product of the Holy Cross mission.”

Meg has labeled herself as a “doer” and someone who “leaves everything better than you found it”. Her parents instilled that lesson into her at a very young age.  

“I am very excited to work with the over 12,000 alumni in the Crusader family. I invite alumni to return to Oronoke Road and remember the great times they had here. The mission and principles that we all know and love are still in existence today. “
