“Each year the Hall of Honor allows The Crusader community to gather to celebrate our own,” said Board Chair and past Hall of Honor honoree, Kevin McSherry ’75.  “The inductees represent the best of our school and extended community. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I send congratulations and best wishes to the honorees.”

“If someone wanted to tell the story of Holy Cross, how it forms people in both heart and intellect to live lives of service, success and joy, the year’s inductees to the Crusader Hall of Honor would be the heroes of that story,” said Dr. Thomas C. Pellegrino, President. “I send my congratulations to all the recipients.”

For the first time since its inception in 2016, the Crusader Hall of Honor will be held at Holy Cross High School, where the journey began for all of the honorees. Last year’s event welcomed more than 530 guests and raised over $180,000, contributing valuable scholarship funds for incoming Crusaders. The 2023 event will be more festive than ever as guests will experience a celebration like none other, which includes a diamond raffle, live auction, and event surprises for all in attendance.

“This year, we are very excited to bring this amazing celebration to the halls of Holy Cross ,” said Nora J. Mason P’16, ’19 & ’22, Director of Advancement. “We look forward to rolling out the red carpet to our honorees and guests.”

During this ceremony, the school community will celebrate the accomplishments of the honorees and raise funds to support the Crusader Hall of Honor Scholarship Fund. This will make a Holy Cross High School education accessible to incoming freshmen.

“Each honoree, in his or her own personal way, has taken the gift of this educational process passed down to us by the Brothers of Holy Cross, and gone on to change lives,” said Dr. Pellegrino. “In that way, they have changed us all for the better. This is what the Hall of Honor is about:  We  celebrate our past as we pave a road for our future.”
