The Holy Cross Student Theatre will proudly present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for its annual spring musical. Music and lyrics are written by William Finn with a book written by Rachel Sheinkin. The show was conceived by Rachel Sheinkin with additional material by Jay Reiss.

Performance dates are Friday, April 5 at 7:30pm, Saturday, April 6 at 12:30pm and Sunday, April 7 at 2:30pm. Tickets are $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for students and $5.00 for children under ten. They will be available at the door prior to each performance. Please pay with cash or a check.  The show, produced by special permission from Music Theatre, International, is under the direction of Sean Lewis.

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion!
