Our students dressed down in pink to support the Crusade for a Cure club as they prepare to participate in the Greater Waterbury Relay for Life, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
The Holy Cross High School administration and faculty honored students for academic excellence displayed during the 2020-2021 school year at the annual Honors Convocation. The teachers proudly acknowledged the achievements of each student to an enthusiastic virtual audience of parents and friends.
Student-athlete, Alyssa Hebb ’21 was named the recipient of the Richard L. Genua, Sr. Memorial Award. This award is given annually to the outstanding senior girls’ basketball player in the city of Waterbury.
Two of Holy Cross High School’s most active and talented vocalists were chosen to perform in two music festivals organized by the Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA). Grace Persaud ’22 participated in the 2021 All-State Music Festival. She and fellow student-performer, Kelsey Hogrefe ’24 performed in the annual CMEA Festival.
National Honor Society (NHS) hosted the inaugural Badminton for Babies Doubles Tournament on Friday, April 30th. Entrance fee into the tournament was a box of diapers. All items were donated to Greater Waterbury Catholic Services.
