During the 22-23 Academic Year, and particularly in the winter months, there are high levels of respiratory viral illnesses as well as Covid impacting the region.  Several factors contribute to higher rates of illness from Covid, flu and/or RSV during the winter  including increased time spent indoors, at holiday gatherings, and travel These all increase opportunities for transmission

For parents and students, here are important reminders concerning COVID-19:

  • Isolate at home for 5 days after symptom onset (or positive test)
  • The student may return on day 6-10 with mask, if fever-free for 24 hours and other symptoms improve

For everything except COVID-19 (e.g. flu, RSV, other):

  • There are no set number of days to isolate
  • Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing meds
  • Students must be well enough to be in school

For more information, please view these guidelines from the CDC on Isolation and Precautions for People with COVID-19.
